If you have any concerns about the safety of a child, please contact the district office of the Department of Community Services nearest you to report this immediately. After regular business hours call 1-866-922-2434 if you believe a child is in immediate danger.
Information given to Family Service of Eastern Nova Scotia is kept confidential. However, under the following conditions we can be required by law to disclose your information:
- if a child or vulnerable person may be in need of protective services
- if there is an immediate risk that someone is gong to hurt or kill themselves
- if there is a danger or risk to others
- supeona or court order
